Godzilla *1998*

Godzilla is a 1998 American science fiction monster film film directed and co-written by Roland Emmerich and starring Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno, Maria Pitillo and Hank Azaria. It is loosely based on the Japanese movie monster Godzilla and is a remake of the 1954 Japanese film of the same name.
The film tells the story of French nuclear tests in French Polynesia which irradiate nearby lizard nests. This causes a mutation to occur and a massive reptilian creature is created. The creature migrates to New York City and causes lots of damage. Dr. Niko Tatopoulos (Matthew Broderick) is called in to aid the military due to his research on nuclear radiation's effect on animals.
Godzilla was released on May 20, 1998. With the majority of critics giving Godzilla negative reviews and the film "winning" two Golden Raspberry Awards for Worst Supporting Actress (Maria Pitillo) and for Worst Remake or Sequel. Despite its negative reputation, it was a box office success, grossing $379.01 million worldwide and distributor TriStar Pictures' current second most financially successful film (followed by Terminator 2: Judgment Day).
An animated television sequel, titled Godzilla: The Series, premiered on September 12, 1998 on Fox Kids.

Meni je odlican film i sad cete se smijat kad napisete tako sam tuzan bio kad je ubiju na kraju da je to nevjerovatno, pozelio sam da barem jednom makar izmisljeno bice pobjedi i ostane zivjeti.
